Canceling an Appointment

If you need to cancel, the easiest and fastest way is to contact your stylist directly. They will assist you in rescheduling.

Life throws curve balls and we get that. For cancellations or rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice, the retainer fee, (if applicable) will be forfeited, and you will be charged 50% of the service cost. Cancellations or rescheduling within 3 hours of your appointment—or failing to show—will incur a charge of 100% of the service cost. Feeling under the weather? Please let us as early as possible, appointments canceled for this reason cannot be rescheduled within 10 days.

Our salon is situated on the second floor of 192 East Bay st Suite 205 . Look for the green awning entrance between SNOB and New York City Pizza. Take the elevator or stairs to the second floor, turn right and you’ll find us at the last door on your left.

We understand that delays can happen. If you anticipate being late, please notify your stylist. We offer a 10-minute grace period; however, arrivals later than this may need to be rescheduled. Please keep in mind if we squeeze you in, the clock starts ticking from the original start time.

The Concord Cumberland Garage is directly in back of the building. You can get there by taking Cone st or Cumberland St to either entrance. Metered Parking lot directly behind the building located on Cone st Convenient Street parking on East Bay St

Please arrive with your hair clean, dry, and styled as you typically wear it. This helps us see your everyday look and better customize our services to suit you.

Service Adjustment Policy

Not totally in love with your look? If somethings off please let us know within 7 days of your visit. Corrections will be made free of charge within 14 days of the original appointment. Please understand that changes in style preference after services are performed do not qualify for complimentary adjustments.

Need some downtime? We get it. Opt for a silent appointment when booking online—just mention it in the comments, and we’ll make sure you get your quiet time.

Philosophy

My ideal client is anyone who loves lived in hair color, which is a natural, low maintenance color that enhances your natural beauty. Carefully placed dimension in hair will allow an effortless, lived in look.

What I love about hair is being able to make people feel confident - there's magic in being able to transform someone's look. I love the energy in the room when my clients feel like the best version of themselves!

Background

Since a child, I loved being made up. As my grandmother was a cosmetologist, she passed down talents to my mom. She would put rollers in my hair on school nights, paint my nails, anything to make me feel fancy. I fell in love with all things beauty - and followed my passion when I attended Paul Mitchell in 2020.

I'm originally from Pennsylvania, and grew up in Northern Virginia, until falling in love with Charleston and moving in 2019. I love the beaches and the culture, and my curls love the humidity!

Interests

My favorite kind of tv shows are reality tv - I'm a sucker for Selling the OC and also, thrillers like American Horror Story. When I'm playing music, I'm either listening to rap or edm - there is no in between!

My favorite restaurants in Charleston are O-Ku and Burwell's, and my favorite bar is The Peacock.

I believe in crafting unique and authentic looks for my clients, ensuring they leave with a style that truly represents who they are. It's always a joy to see the excitement in their eyes when they see their new hair for the first time.

Amber founded Borne and her work has been featured on bridal blogs, film, and Charleston editorial photo and fashion show sets. Studied technique from fabulous artists including: Mane Ivy; Michelle Zeller, Daniel Mason Jones, Carlo Nova, Yuresh Hooker, Sophia Avera, and Salt Society. She believes in continuous evolution and spends her time focused on optimizing the salon experience.
