Philosophy
As an industry veteran of over 15 years, I have developed a strong sense of what it means to be a great hairstylist. Attention to detail, precision, and caring for the hair’s integrity remain my top priority with each and every client.
I believe that the most flattering color is what your hair looked like as a little kid in the summer; natural, lived-in, and sun kissed. I love to enhance natural features as much as I love to follow a new trend, and will never rush through a service. I have always looked at hair as an artshort,
sculptural, precise haircuts and creative color are what keeps my spark ignited.
Above all, I feel it is a great privilege to know so many walks of life and to be able to build strong and deep connections with a wide array of people. I am honored to have my clients trust that I will take great care in helping them put their best foot forward into the world.
Background
Since starting in salons as a teenager, Jessica has a long resume filled with every role the
industry has to offer. From training in high-end salons with Aveda, Vivian McAllister, and Chris
McMillan, to managing, educating, and developing her own training systems, Jess has
developed her own unique approach and sense of style.
She describes her style as funky, yet
refined; she loves bold statements and anything fresh and creative. That being said, she does
not disregard anything classic, acknowledging that some things are timeless for a reason.
Interests
Outside of the salon I am:
-Spending time with my husband and our beautiful baby girl, Cora
-Touring museums and taking art classes
-Cooking or hanging out at one of our favorite restaurants
-Finding day trips and new places to explore
Annette Lopez

My name is Annette Lopez. I’m so excited to be a part of Borne Salon! Doing hair has always been a dream of mine ever since I was younger. One of the reasons why I got into hair was from the movie Steel Magnolias! The idea of being someone's safe space for any situations or problems always made me want to be there for them.

Here's a little info about me. I’m a local to the lowcountry, I was born and raised in Walterboro SC about 45 from Charleston.
I specialize in brunettes, blondes and redheads! I hope to see you in my chair soon and can’t wait to be the person to make your hair dreams come true. 🙂
Interests
On my off days I love to walk down King St, hang out with friends at the farm or beach (warm or cold), watch football or baseball and even hunt or fish!
Brie Gabany

Philosophy
My ideal client is anyone who loves lived in hair color, which is a natural, low maintenance color that enhances your natural beauty. Carefully placed dimension in hair will allow an effortless, lived in look.
What I love about hair is being able to make people feel confident - there's magic in being able to transform someone's look. I love the energy in the room when my clients feel like the best version of themselves!
Background
Since a child, I loved being made up. As my grandmother was a cosmetologist, she passed down talents to my mom. She would put rollers in my hair on school nights, paint my nails, anything to make me feel fancy. I fell in love with all things beauty - and followed my passion when I attended Paul Mitchell in 2020.
I'm originally from Pennsylvania, and grew up in Northern Virginia, until falling in love with Charleston and moving in 2019. I love the beaches and the culture, and my curls love the humidity!
Interests
My favorite kind of tv shows are reality tv - I'm a sucker for Selling the OC and also, thrillers like American Horror Story. When I'm playing music, I'm either listening to rap or edm - there is no in between!
My favorite restaurants in Charleston are O-Ku and Burwell's, and my favorite bar is The Peacock.
Amber Tullberg

Philosophy
While I'm passionate about every aspect of the hair industry, I'm particularly recognized for my expertise in ultra lived-in and transformative hair coloring and styling. I believe in crafting unique and authentic looks for my clients, ensuring they leave with a style that truly represents who they are. It's always a joy to see the excitement in their eyes when they see their new hair for the first time.
Background
Amber founded Borne and her work has been featured on bridal blogs, film, and Charleston editorial photo and fashion show sets. Studied technique from fabulous artists including: Mane Ivy; Michelle Zeller, Daniel Mason Jones, Carlo Nova, Yuresh Hooker, Sophia Avera, and Salt Society. She believes in continuous evolution and spends her time focused on optimizing the salon experience.
Interests
When I'm not at the studio, you can find me:
- Spending quality time with my little boy and our puppies
